I was unable to connect on opening day. Once the tom I have been watching touched the ground and joined up with some hens there was nothing I could do to get them to come my way. Anyone else have this problem

I connected on my bird at 8:30 AM. The two you see on my icon were with 6 hens. I laid to rest the one on the left 5 minutes after the picture was taken. But there was no way I was going to call them away from the hens. Luckily I was in their path. Any one else connect yet? -Brian

Ive been out for two mornings now, seems like Im always setup about 100 yards to far from them. Weve got a few more days to go I think Ill luck out yet.

Finally connected with a turkey on 4/27. I had one of my best hunts ever. I had a lot of action. Everything didn't go smooth but I ended up with a jake with about a 3" beard.

Took a nice tom this morning about 7:30 near Cadillac. Didn't see as many birds as previous years. Talked back and forth with two toms from 6:15 until 7:30, then I let the 11-87 do the talking. Back home by 1. Great weekend.
